Since every project we create is custom, we get a lot of great questions—so we’ve put together this FAQ to help clarify the most common ones.
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS IDEA?
It started with a deep love for live music and the unforgettable moments that come with it. During the pandemic, I was inspired by other artists who used the downtime to create. I realized that for most shows, we’re left with only two ways to remember the night: a t-shirt or a poster.
But some shows mean more — the first one with your future spouse, the one that makes you fall in love with a band, the last show you saw with a loved one, your child’s first concert, or the one your wedding band played.
Some shows are just… different.
I wanted a way to capture the energy of those nights and preserve it as meaningful, physical art. After creating my first rough draft of a setlist board, I knew the idea had potential. I worked on it quietly for six months, and it eventually became what is now Sets By Scotty.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MAKING THESE?
I took my first order in October 2020. Since then, I’ve made over 300 boards featuring more than 60 different bands, shipped to 30+ states, and completed official collaborations with STS9 and Goose.
SHOULD I HANG MY SETLIST IN THE DIRECT SUNLIGHT?
I recommend avoiding direct sunlight to preserve the colors and materials. Each board is sealed for protection, but like any piece of art, keeping it out of harsh light will help it last longer.
WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW WHICH SONGS WERE PLAYED THAT NIGHT?
No problem. Just give me the artist, date, and venue, and I’ll research the setlist for you. If no official setlist exists, I’ll work with you to recreate a thoughtful version using fan recordings and tour history.
WHAT SIZES DO YOU OFFER?
I currently offer four board styles:
- The Gorge – $450 (shipping included)
- Typically 3–4 feet tall and 12–18 inches wide
- The largest option — a true statement piece. I can fit almost any show on a board this size, and your design options are essentially limitless.
- The Tabernacle – $350 (shipping included)
- Approx. 18 inches tall by 12 inches wide
- A bold format that works in almost any space. Big enough to capture the full set, small enough to stay versatile.
- The Lyric – $250 (shipping included)
- 15-inch circular design
- A fresh departure from my original format. Your favorite set, framed in perfect proportion.
- The Belly Up – $150 (shipping included)
- Approx. 12 inches tall and 8–10 inches wide
- A mini setlist that fits anywhere. Great for commemorating multi-night runs or filling out a gallery wall.
